Head of Tax, 3 days/ week. Chester

A unique opportunity has arisen for a Head of tax to join a well known household name on a 3 day a week basis (flexibility on location). Reporting to the FD you will have complete oversight for all taxes and ensuring the business remains compliant as well as proactively partnering with the business to ensure tax is factors into commercial decisions.

Aside from the business partnering aspect, you have accountability for:

* Submitting corporate tax returns (preparation done either in-house or outsourced)
* Ensuring tax reporting requirements are met
* Review of VAT returns and ensuring reporting requirements are met, as well as advising the business on any indirect tax queries
* Dealing with any employment tax queries from the business

The role is both strategic and hands on, and would suit someone who has a natural interest in engaging and understanding the business as a whole and developing relationships throughout the organisation. There is flexibility on where this role can be based, please contact me for more information.
