Private Client Tax Technical Consultant - UK remote

Our client is a leading provider of technical support services to the accountancy profession. They seek a UK qualified experienced tax professional to join their technical team which provides tax advice and support to firms ranging from sole practitioners to large accountancy firms.
In this Personal Tax focused role you will advise on all areas of private client tax including HNW individuals, families, trusts, Capital taxes and interaction with OMB businesses. Typical pieces of work would include:
• Sole trade, partnership and LLP formations, changes, disposal, cessation, and incorporation
• Property businesses incorporations
• Family investment companies – ideally including basic reconstructions / clearance applications to create them
• Advice on pension contributions, pension income and pension funds generally
• Stamp duty land tax, including application, rates, reliefs, and exemptions
• Capital gains tax, including reliefs, losses, claims and elections.
• Business asset disposal relief
• Property leases, including capital gains tax, stamp duty land tax and income tax.
• Inheritance tax advice and planning, including lifetime gifts, trusts and estate planning and the LTR rules
• UK / offshore trust advice and planning
• Individual residence including statutory residence test, split year treatment, temporary non-residence etc.
• Foreign income & gains & the Temporary Repatriation Facility/ Remittance Basis of Taxation
• Seafarers’ exemption
• Employment taxes / benefits in kind etc.
• Share schemes e.g. EMI
• Taxes on crypto assets

This role would suit a private client tax specialist ( CTA STEP, ICAS or ACA or similar) with proven experience of private client work and a clear interest in technical work. The role can be remote worked with occasional travel within the UK. 4 day week also considered.Great quality technical work, no business development and a great team make this a fabulous opportunity.
