I’m working with a specialist, employee-owned UK/US Private Client Tax firm looking to appoint an experienced Tax Manager to its growing London team.

This is a genuine dual-handler position. You won’t be confined to one side of the Atlantic or simply reviewing returns – you’ll take ownership of sophisticated UK/US clients, lead relationships and work directly with senior leadership on complex cross-border advisory matters.

What will you be doing?You’ll manage a portfolio of HNW individuals, families and internationally mobile clients, taking responsibility for both the technical work and the relationship.

Your work will include reviewing UK and US individual tax returns and international reporting, identifying planning opportunities, advising on UK/US cross-border matters and supporting Directors with more complex advisory projects.
You’ll also review the work of junior team members, help develop them technically and take increasing responsibility for the wider delivery of the team.

Who would suit this?The key requirement is strong hands-on experience across both UK and US Private Client Tax.
You’ll ideally already be operating around Manager or experienced Assistant Manager level and be comfortable:

- Handling both UK and US individual tax matters
- Reviewing rather than solely preparing returns
- Managing your own client relationships
- Identifying technical and advisory issues
- Leading client conversations
- Reviewing and developing junior staff

CTA, ATT, EA and/or CPA qualifications would be advantageous, although strong practical dual-handler experience is particularly important.
