Work from Home - Tax Consultant - direct taxes - part time available

UK direct tax specialist required to join a large independent tax consultancy firm. This role is telephone based, with all client contact taking place via the telephone or email; there are occasional requirements to be in the office for team orientated activities or training. Sound knowledge of UK direct and ideally indirect tax is required, as is a professional tax and accountancy qualification, however we are interested in receiving applications from those qualified by experience and willing to learn as study support is provided for ATT/CTA. This advisory role will be to provide tax advice to firms of accountants and affinity bodies. It is essential applicants can demonstrate practical experience of dealing with all areas of UK Direct Taxation, good in-depth knowledge of UK Direct Taxation rules and regulations and their practical application, and deal with telephone calls in a courteous, enthusiastic and efficient manner. Duties will include researching queries and provide answers supported by legislation and HMRC references whilst managing clients’ expectations, providing support to other members of the advice team, including coaching and assisting less experienced colleagues, ensuring accuracy in advice and actions taken, in accordance with FCA and other regulations, accurately recording advice given and to maintain and update tax knowledge. This position is working from home, it can be part time, and you will be required to be in the Rugby office once every 2 weeks once the office returns to being open.
