This is a maternity cover contract to cover the work of the Senior International Tax Manager in a large and successful global multinational company. The role is a combination of Irish corporate tax management, managing international tax projects and maintenance of the Irish principal company.
The Senior Tax Manager is the only Tax person in Ireland and reports to a Tax Director based elsewhere in Europe. There is also very close collaboration with the US colleagues.
A key part of the role is to manage the Irish principal company and guide various stakeholders in other departments on the upkeep of the principal company. Besides the day to day Irish and international tax work, there will be tax accounting & reporting and provisioning. There are also many tax projects going on, such as M&A or business development deals to advise on.
It is expected that the right person for this role will have proven in-house tax experience at Senior Manager or Director level with an Irish corporate tax / international tax background. It requires a mature and composed tax professional to manage the relationships with department leaders and Senior Management. It also requires the ability to get up to speed quickly in a complex mutational and use your initiative.
Over the next few months it is expected that people will be able to return to the office. This role requires building relationships with the other stakeholders in person (e.g. with Commercial and Manufacturing groups) which requires interaction in person, so a willingness to be onsite at least 3 days per week is required, when permitted.
