Business Tax Manager / Senior Manager / Director – Leeds or York

This is an excellent opportunity to join one of Yorkshire’s leading Independent Accountancy firms.

My client is seeking an experienced advisory tax professional to join their award winning and growing Business Tax team.

The role will be client facing and the successful candidate will be responsible for handling a portfolio of owner managed business clients dealing mainly with advisory projects. Depending on experience and seniority the candidate will also be involved in bringing new clients into the firm, liaising with intermediaries and connectors and representing the firm externally.

They are looking for an experienced candidate who can lead client relationships and advisory projects and must be at least at manager level.
Depending on experience, the role will also offer the candidate responsibility and influence over key financial KPIs, the future growth strategy of the team and its direction.

The ideal candidate will be CTA or ACA qualified. OMB advisory experience is essential.

Key skills required: demonstrates energy and drive, high performing team player, OMB experience - able to deal with advice on areas like share option plans (EMI etc.), (S)EIS, company reorganisations and demergers, and other complex advisory projects, experience of property transactions including property capital allowances also desirable, experience of managing a team and developing team members in both technical and non-technical areas, ability to work across different departments within a professional services firm, excellent communication skills, both oral and written, client-facing experience and leading client relationships is essential, ability to manage a client portfolio and tax planning advisory work, commercial and pragmatic, a strong attention to detail and awareness of risk, business development and cross-selling.
