Tax Manager, Household Name - West London

Boasting a household name and servicing over 70 million people per year, this business is one of the largest employment sites in London and plays a pivotal role in the UK economy. They are now searching for a dynamic Tax Manager to support with identifying and managing Direct Tax issues arising from expansion and to ensure the group remains compliant with tax legislation.

Reporting directly to the Head of Tax, you will be responsible for providing ad-hoc UK corporate tax advice to the business, mitigating risk and identifying opportunities, as well as maintaining relationships with external advisors. Additionally, you will support on statutory accounting and reporting when needed.

Main Responsibilities:

Monitor changes in tax legislation and ensure that opportunities and risks are assessed

Assist in the provision of information and advice relating to direct tax to the wider business, in particular on capital allowance planning

Additional point of contact for tax advisory services on employment tax when needed

Undertake ad hoc projects to ensure group policies and planning opportunities are compliant

Maintain good working relations with HMRC

Oversee the Group’s corporate tax compliance and statutory accounting

Manage the preparation of group and entity tax figures and disclosures for inclusion in the statutory accounts

Review and advise on the tax rates and cashflows included in the Group’s long-term model

Devise and maintain records utilising the latest best practise techniques and leading-edge technology

About You:

Professional tax qualification

In-depth understanding of corporate tax accrued in practice/in-house

Excellent communicator

Commercially minded

Practical experience of tax accounting

Good knowledge of tax software
