In House VAT Manager, Manchester

Our client based in Manchester is seeking to appoint to a newly created role of VAT Manager paying to £40,000

Your new company
Due to the promotion of the current incumbent our client is seeking to fill the role of VAT Manager in what will be an evolving and challenging role.

Your new role
Your new VAT role will be diverse and you will be responsible for :

* Delivering a full range of VAT services in compliance with the laws and regulations within timeframes
* Prepare VAT returns and intrastat for authorisation by the Head of VAT
* Drive VAT return payments in line with deadlines and group cashflow
* Assist in VAT registration and de-registration processes
* Review partial exemption for relevant business units
* Responsible for VAT system upgrades / software purchases
* Build internal and external relationships


What you'll need to succeed
You will have a proven background in VAT / indirect tax and will have ideally worked for a large organisation that has experienced change. With excellent interpersonal skills you will be able to build and nurture relationships.
