The Group have made themselves a household name and currently employ over 14,000 people. They are currently looking to hire a Tax Director to join their in-house tax team.
This is a part-time position, sitting within their Group finance department and reporting directly into the Finance Director. You will hold the most senior position in Tax. You will use your previous experience and a flexible adaptable approach, to be accountable for the tax affairs across the business and also management one report.
Duties and responsibilities:
Repatriation & capital structure planning for proposed and existing companies in the group.
Advising the business of the global tax consequences and influence decision makers to optimise tax efficiency.
Researching and advising on tax efficient ways of setting up new businesses and liquidating / dissolving companies.
Research new and proposed global tax developments including preparation of impact analysis reports detailing the effect on Group any proposed actions that are required.
Ensure the group has robust transfer pricing documentation in place, managing any updates that are required and communicating to the business.
Prepare and manage the Group’s Country by Country reporting including master and local files.
Produce and manage the Group’s Global Tax Risk Register.
Producing overviews of the corporate tax system in various territories being considered for expansion.
Manage overseas compliance and review tax returns prepared by advisers.
Manage overseas tax payments, including review of proposed payments and ensuring payments are accurately budgeted for and tracked.
Deal with tax enquiries from HMRC and overseas tax authorities.
Line management of the Group Corporate Tax Manager supporting with review of UK R&D report, tax computations, tax disclosures and calculations for Group Consolidated accounts, interims and forecasts/budgets.
ACA/CTA Qualified, or equivalent
Proven UK Corporate Tax background
Strong tax accounting/reporting skills
Capital allowances experience an advantage
