Direct Tax Expert, Global Retailer, South West London

A global supermarket chain are seeking a Direct Tax expert to join their internal Tax team, based in their head office in South West London. This is an exciting new opportunity to take ownership and get involved in all areas of direct taxation matters. You will be joining a highly organised, detail orientated broad-focused team who are all responsible for ensuring Tax compliance and procedures for the UK are met.

* Preparing and reviewing all areas of direct tax within the UK
* Working very closely with senior colleagues and reporting directly into the Head of UK Tax
* Preparing and filing tax returns, applications and claims as well as other tax-related registrations
* Carrying out tax accounting and preparing annual accounts across the different departments
* Creating internal guidelines and be part of various projects all year round

You will be a qualified Tax Accountant (ACCA, ATT or ACA/CTA) with substantial Tax experience gained within practice or industry, with strong knowledge and experience of Direct Tax in the UK to work with various stakeholders across the business. Tax experience in the retail sector would be beneficial but not a requirement.
