This position will be responsible for managing the income tax accounting processes in the EMEA Region to ensure full compliance with accounting and reporting from a consolidated and separate legal entity subsidiary perspective. This position will prepare and review the Company's EMEA related consolidated and legal entity tax provisions and tax financial statement disclosures, and will ensure that adequate Sarbanes Oxley documentation, support and controls are maintained. The position will also require significant interaction with various groups within Finance, including, but not limited to, Accounting and Reporting, SEC Reporting, Regulatory Reporting and Accounting Policy.
Primary Responsibilities:
* Support the EMEA Tax Accounting Director with respect to all ASC 740 Accounting for income tax issues and disclosures
* Liaise and work closely with multiple groups within Finance to analyse and explain income tax-related impacts of transactions
* Prepare income tax disclosures for EMEA related consolidated and separate legal entity financial reporting
* Manage the procedures and processes that support the internal control framework related to ASC 740, including balance sheet and income statement tax account reconciliations and substantiations
* Participate in Tax Department efforts to streamline and automate tax accounting processes.
Required skills:
* A mix of public accounting firm and financial services industry experience preferred
* ACA/CTA qualification preferred
* Strong organisational, analytical, communication, control and project management skills are also required.
