This 12 month contract Interim Tax Manager role reports into the Group Head of Tax and has a variety of responsibilities and work closely with Senior Stakeholders within the business.
Responsibilities:
*Lead a team of 1-2 on site. There will be two direct reports based in this team also reporting into this role.
*Co-ordinate staff and work-related issues, particularly with regard to planning and organising work schedules, assessing performance and development.
*Deliver a full range of tax services in compliance with laws and regulations within time-frame.
*Build relationships and interact with internal and external customers to provide excellent planning, consulting and expertise.
*Refine business processes, to ensure robust end-to-end procedures are in place to mitigate risk.
*Manage and coordinate tax audits from HMRC for all taxes, co-ordinate with HMRC regarding inspections and enquiries, and annual Risk Review meetings.
*Assist with the implementation of the Oracle ERP system for tax purposes.
*Support and lead the VAT controller software implementation throughout the Group.
*Oversee the year edn P11D submission process.
*Renewal of Group PSA agreements.
You will have the following experience:
*3+ years proven working experience as tax manager.
*3+ years' experience in accounting processes, experience in a range of accounting areas, financial computer systems and knowledge of accounting legislation.
*Knowledge of MS Office
*Exceptional client service along with the ability to develop excellent client relationships
*Analytical skills with detail orientation
*Strong leadership and personnel management skills
*Experience supervising teams within Group functions and a SSC environment in a complex business structure
*Have a Professional Accounting and/or Tax qualification
