To support and provide assistance to the Senior Tax Accountant or Senior Operations Manager, deputising where relevant. To undertake the duties relevant to your designated business area. To carry out your tasks to a high standard, ensuring work is completed accurately and on time. To adhere to all controls, regulatory guidelines and procedures that affect your business area.

Key responsibilities:

Administration

Ensure all tasks are completed to a high standard, and any anomalies are reported to the Senior Tax Accountant within agreed time-scales.
To ensure you meet all KPI’s relevant to your business area.
On-going review of all tasks within your designated area, ensuring that areas are identified where improvements can be made.
To contribute to and assist with any initiatives and projects relevant to your business area.
Respond to written or telephone enquiries in a timely and professional manner.
Ability to provide cover to an agreed standard all tasks undertaken within the team.

Compliance and Training

Ensure adherence to all Company’s policies and procedures.
Ensure adherence to policies and procedures, including the relevant reporting, as specified by external bodies (eg FCA, HMRC, IMA etc).
Attend internal/external training seminars as appropriate to enhance your development.

Team Support

Contribute to collation of the team procedures manual.
Provide Senior Tax Accountant with weekly management information statistics relevant to your duties.
Attend & contribute to internal team meetings and raise relevant issues with your line manager
To assist with training any new recruits to the team in BAU activities.
Support & adapt to changes relevant to your business area with a positive attitude.

Operations Management

To deputise for the Senior Tax Accountant when relevant to ensure your team meets at least fortnightly to discuss, document and communicate all relevant issues affecting your department.
Ensure that the department’s documented KPIs / KRIs are met
To provide technical advice and help to resolve problems pertaining to issues within your area and where relevant externally to your area.
To assist with coaching other team members. When called upon to assist in general staff management issues
To support the change management programme, where relevant actively manage the development and delivery of changes to operational and system infrastructure.
To ensure your team procedures are documented to the appropriate standard and periodically reviewed and updated where necessary.
Co-ordinate and undertake testing for any team developments where required.
Conduct end to end process reviews in BAU
