This is a successful and established independent firm of accountants with a particularly strong award winning tax team. Currently 4 of the 8 partners specialise in tax. A lot of the professionals here are from Top 10 and well established firms in London who have relocated or just got fed up of the commute from Kent. You can therefore understand that the standard of clients at this firm mirror that of London, which is very noteworthy for a firm outside of London.
The firm offer a fantastic work lifestyle balance with flexi hours around 10am – 4pm, usually people work from 9-5:15 and there isn’t this overtime culture where people are expected to stay later – in fact it’s quite rare that people don’t leave on time. This importance of lifestyle balance shows the culture of the firm, they are supportive and friendly but also take pride in the fact that they can keep this balance while also offering high quality, London standard work.
The role is private client manager, but what I think is most interesting about this opportunity is that the progression is up to you. There isn’t a set time limit on when you can progress. In fact the last two hires at this level are now associate directors, achieving 2 promotions up in 2 years.
The main responsibilities of this role:
- Working on a portfolio of HNWI’s and some UK and offshore trusts; acting as the primary contact and trusted adviser
- Responsible for delivering client budget, billing targets, client profitability and managing the client workflow
- Developing good work relationships within the firm, contributing to, adapting and enhancing internal procedures
The ideal candidate will be CTA qualified with experience in private client tax, experience in trusts would be advantageous – but is not necessary.
