Head of Tax (Full or Part time), 12-18 month contract, London to £700 per day

The company:

International engineering and manufacturing business looking to appoint a Head of Tax for a 12-18 month period.

The role:

* Reporting to Group CFO
* You will work as a stand-alone head of tax with support at local country level from advisers with responsibility for all tax compliance and advisory matters
* Managing group transfer pricing position - updating and benchmarking
* Tax audit support - liaising with local management and advisers where a tax authority review takes place
* Provide corporation tax input (including deferred tax calculations) to forecasts and strategic plans including the generation of presentations for senior internal and external stakeholders including the CFO, analysts and the auditors as appropriate
* You will support the businesses to develop the indirect tax strategy
* Tax planning - working with advisers to organise the group activities in order to minimise tax burden, commensurate with relevant legislation
* Managing the relationship and interaction with global tax and our external tax advisors

About you:

* ACA and/or CTA
* Extensive (10 years +) direct tax experience
* Would suit a previous head of tax or partner with breadth to their tax experience
* Ideally exposure to indirect tax and employment tax issues
* Good communicator with strong senior stakeholder management experience
* Excellent negotiating and literacy skills.
* Has a commercial approach to tax matters and be capable of providing clear advice and direction to colleagues.
