Global market leading Digital media business experiencing exponential growth is seeking a Head of Tax and Treasury to cover a long term maternity leave for up to 18 months. To start mid-end July.
The role
The role will involve taking primary responsibility for all tax compliance, tax advisory and treasury matters across the Group, globally, as well as taking the lead on the tax aspects of all commercial, corporate and other transactions and arrangements.
The role would have responsibility for:
* Ensuring the Group follows (and where appropriate evolves) its overall global tax strategy and approach.
* Actively managing and mitigating any potential tax risks;
* Pro-actively providing commercial tax support (in particular to the Group's new products and markets) and challenge to the business and support potential acquisitions
* Preparing board and management papers summarising structuring, tax strategy, risk and recommendations;
* Managing the global transfer pricing project include the updating of documentation and benchmarking;
* Ensuring the Group complies with its global tax and statutory filing responsibilities, payments and refunds (including all corporate and sales tax) and related legal responsibilities - for example, BEPS, SAO (and keeps abreast of, and deals with, developments);
* Calculating and preparing tax charges, provisions and notes both for the purposes of accounting and tax computations;
* Managing the relationship and interaction with global tax authorities
* CashandFX management. This would include:
* Understanding the Group's cash flow forecasts and apply/evolve the Group's treasury strategy to them;
* Evaluating and recommending FX and Cash strategies;
About you
The ideal candidate will be ACA qualified and ideally with CTA (or equivalents) you will be an effective senior manager or Head of Tax, exposure to treasury is desirable but not essential.
* High level tax technical tax skills.
* Knowledge of current and deferred tax standards (IAS 12 and FRS 19)
* Significant experience of working in-house on international tax advisory, international tax compliance
* Experience of UK and overseas tax computations and returns including VAT.
* Some M&A experience, particularly around common due diligence items, structuring, debt, tax warranties and indemnities.
