Tax Manager - Private Client - Manchester - c£65, 000

Top 10 firm with a thriving Manchester are looking to bolster their Private Client Tax team with the hire of a Manager or Senior Manager. Working closely with the Tax Partner and directors, and with our Financial Planning team, to deliver a high quality tax service to clients whilst developing the knowledge and expertise within the Tax Team.

The Role

Provision of high level technical and tax planning advice to entrepreneurial and private clients, working as necessary with the Partner and Directors, with a particular emphasis on our private client base.
Managing the relationship for a number of tax clients.
Overseeing the personal tax return preparation process.·
Maintaining an up to date technical knowledge of personal tax planning opportunities.
Dealing with ad hoc client advisory and planning issues as they arise on the entrepreneurial and personal tax client base.
Involvement in business development in the North West Region to further develop our entrepreneurial and private client business.
Management responsibilities for tax department staff.

You

Evidence of practical private client advisory experience with a good working knowledge of personal tax compliance and owner managed business tax issues.
CTA qualified.
A team player with excellent communication skills, both oral and written, and excellent client handling skills.
Adaptable, organised with a commercial approach.
Able to exercise judgement and work without close supervision.
Ability to proactively manage existing client relationships and to develop new relationships.
Acting as a positive role model for the team.
Possess an understanding of risk management issues.
Possess an existing network of private client contacts, including work referrers, in the Northwest Region.
An ability and willingness to take part in business development activities and win new work.
