Private Client Tax Assistant Manager or Supervisor - Top 30 Firm - Central London

An exciting opportunity to join a leading accountancy firm as a Personal Tax Supervisor or Assistant Manager in Central London.

This role would place you in the Tax Department of a large Top 30 firm providing exposure to a challenging and diverse portfolio of clients including OMBs, Non-domiciled Individuals, Trusts and Partnerships.

The role will combine the management of your own compliance portfolio, whilst also working closely with the Tax Director on Planning and Advisory work on a range of tax issues.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Looking after your own portfolio of clients comprising high net worth individuals, Partners, Directors and Self-employed individuals.
Review tax returns and accompany workings to an extent appropriate to the complexity of the engagement and experience of the staff thus far involved;
Complete posting for complex or missing areas of tax returns or oversee this;
Prepare more complex capital gains computations;
Prepare/amend and/or approve letters and emails relating to less complex issues;
Prepare replies to complex client or third party correspondence, seeking further input as appropriate;
Have direct contact with the client and third parties including HMRC;
Deal with the more technical enquiries from clients and other firm members;
Oversee the dealing with Enquiries raised by HMRC;
Identify the potential for more complex tax planning opportunities and recommend appropriate strategies including basic inheritance tax advice;
Attend client meetings;
Meet potential clients where appropriate;

Skills:

CTA / ACA / ACCA Qualified
Personal Tax background
Preferably with specific experience to issues relevant to OMBs. (Desirable not essential)
