Our client is a leading provider of knowledge management, tax publishing and technical tax advice to professional firms and in-house tax teams. They seek an experienced Tax Writer to join their team, this role can be based from London or worked remotely (from the UK and with some travel to London). You will need a background in corporate international tax including:
Loan relationships, Derivatives, Foreign exchange gains, Intangible fixed assets, CFCs, Anti-avoidance, Pillar 2, BEPS, Top-up taxes on large groups, DPT, Digital services tax, Double taxation, Transfer pricing, Energy companies – so quite niche.
In this role you will update and write market-leading tax online commentaries, tools and online learning services. Work on some, or all, of the following always ensuring that quality and turnaround time targets are met:
• Update and enhance allocated online tax commentaries.
• Create and maintain allocated online tools - decision trees, mindmaps, checklists.
• Write allocated case reports.
• Contribute regular articles for weekly Tax Publication.
• Prepare and present online training courses.
• Contribute to an expert search tool.
• Act as Product Champion for a tax title in the portfolio.
• Assist the customer support and sales teams with customer queries.
• Represent the company at industry events.
You will also have some team management responsibilities including:
• Senior Technical Writer work (see separate job description)
• Monitoring quality
• Driving enhancements
• Dealing with queries from the team
• Dealing with queries from wider business
• Represent the company at industry events.
You will need a relevant professional qualification (CTA, ACA, ICAS or former Inspector) a background in international tax from a UK standpoint and proven technical writing skills. Would consider full time or part time for this role. Its likely that you will have gained experience in a large accountancy firm.
