Your responsibilities as a Tax Compliance Assistant
As a Tax Compliance Assistant, you’ll be responsible for accurately entering tax information into specialist tax software, preparing client records for review by the Tax Compliance Manager. You’ll support more complex areas within your portfolio, including profit sharing, while contacting clients to obtain any outstanding information required to complete their tax affairs.
You’ll also identify and report any HMRC compliance enquiry notices to the Tax Compliance Manager and provide guidance and training to Tax Compliance Trainees on tax data entry processes.
Requirements
You will have previous experience working in an accounting or tax compliance role within an accountancy practice, with an ATT qualification desirable, although candidates who are qualified by experience will also be considered. You’ll be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, managing competing priorities and delivering high-quality work to strict deadlines. A proactive and organised approach is essential, alongside strong problem-solving skills and the confidence to use your own initiative. You’ll also be a collaborative team player who is happy to support colleagues and contribute to a dynamic working environment.
A full UK driving licence is required for this position.
