The Opportunity

A leading professional services firm is seeking an experienced Private Equity Transaction Tax Manager to join its growing transactions team in London.

This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially minded tax professional to work on high-profile private equity transactions, advising investors and businesses across the full deal lifecycle. The role offers significant exposure to complex transactions, senior stakeholders and a broad range of tax issues, with genuine scope for career progression as the practice continues to grow.

Responsibilities

* Advise private equity clients and management teams on a broad range of transaction tax matters.
* Lead and deliver tax projects including tax due diligence, restructuring, tax structuring, modelling and SPA review.
* Build strong client relationships and play an active role in developing new business opportunities.
* Provide commercially focused advice, balancing technical excellence with the wider objectives of each transaction.
* Work closely with tax specialists across multiple jurisdictions and disciplines.
* Manage projects effectively, including planning, budgets, deadlines and risk.
* Supervise, coach and develop junior team members.
* Contribute to the strategic development and continued growth of the transaction tax team.

Candidate Requirements

The successful candidate is likely to be an experienced UK tax professional with strong technical knowledge and proven reviewing experience, ideally including restructuring or transaction-related tax.

They should have:

* Strong UK tax experience gained within a professional services or advisory environment.
* Experience working on complex transactions and advising clients in a deal context.
* Excellent communication and client relationship skills.
* A commercial and strategic mindset, with the ability to understand the wider objectives of a transaction.
* Experience supervising and developing junior professionals.
* A relevant professional qualification such as CTA, ACA, ATT, law qualification or international equivalent.
* A degree or equivalent academic qualification.
* Experience of UK tax compliance and project management would also be advantageous.

Why Consider This Role?

This is a particularly attractive opportunity for a tax professional looking to move further into private equity and transaction advisory, offering exposure to sophisticated deals, senior clients and a broad range of tax issues.

With a strong growth strategy and an increasingly active transactions market, the role provides excellent long-term progression potential, alongside the opportunity to develop both technical expertise and commercial advisory skills within a highly regarded professional environment.
