The Role
This position sits within the tax practice, which plays a central role in supporting major transactions and delivering standalone strategic advice. The team is integrated with the firm's corporate, private equity, real estate, and infrastructure groups, regularly advising clients such as corporates, funds, developers, and financial sponsors on multi-faceted issues.
Work will include:
* Advising on tax aspects of significant domestic and cross-border transactions, including M&A, joint ventures, and investment structuring
* Providing guidance on private equity transactions, real estate investments, and infrastructure developments
* Drafting and negotiating tax provisions in SPAs, tax deeds, and related documentation
* Structuring advice for credit and fund platforms, including secondaries and complex fund arrangements
* Preparing technical memoranda, structuring papers, and risk assessments for diverse clients
You will work closely with senior associates and partners, gaining exposure to a wide client base and some of the most strategically significant tax matters in the market, while developing both technical and client-facing skills in a supportive team environment.
What They're Looking For
* England & Wales qualified lawyer with 2-5 years' PQE in tax
* Experience in corporate and commercial tax gained at an international or top-tier law firm
* Strong technical capabilities across domestic and cross-border tax matters, with solid drafting skills
* Ability to manage workstreams proactively and communicate clearly with clients and stakeholders
* Commercial mindset with an appreciation of the industries in which clients operate
* Eagerness to engage in business development and build professional networks
* Enthusiasm for tax law, with an interest in developments that shape the broader business landscape
