Your new company
You'll be joining a major global engineering and technology‑driven organisation operating at the forefront of innovation across highly regulated and strategically important sectors. Known for delivering complex, long‑term programmes with real-world impact, the business combines technical excellence with a strong sense of purpose and responsibility. With a rich heritage and a commitment to shaping the future through advanced capability, it offers a dynamic environment where tax professionals play an integral role in supporting strategic decision‑making, ensuring financial integrity and safeguarding the organisation's reputation. You'll be part of a forward‑looking head office team that values integrity, collaboration and continuous improvement - somewhere you can build a long-term career while working on high‑impact initiatives that genuinely make a difference.
Your new role
As a Tax Manager, you will deliver high‑quality tax business partnering by developing a deep understanding of operational activities and providing clear, commercially focused advice to senior stakeholders. You will proactively monitor legislative and regulatory developments, assess tax implications for the organisation, and communicate effective tax rate and tax accounting impacts with clarity. The role involves reviewing and project‑managing UK and international tax compliance filings, overseeing key payment obligations and driving process improvement initiatives through the use of tax technology - including automation and generative AI tools. You will also support the delivery of ad hoc projects across the wider tax team and help coach junior colleagues.
What you'll need to succeed
You will bring strong technical experience in UK corporate tax, with additional exposure to international tax matters. You should have a solid track record of managing corporation tax compliance and associated payment processes, along with practical experience using tax technology to streamline and enhance tax workflows. ACA and/or CTA qualification is essential, and experience gained from an in‑house tax team or professional services environment - particularly a large or Big 4 firm - will be advantageous. Exposure to transfer pricing is beneficial, alongside excellent communication skills and the ability to build productive working relationships at senior levels.
What you'll get in return
You will receive a competitive salary of £80,000 plus an attractive executive benefits package, including a strong pension scheme, share plans, extensive wellbeing and lifestyle benefits, private healthcare options and access to flexible reward schemes. You'll have the chance to work on high‑impact initiatives, contribute to process improvements, and develop professionally within a supportive and forward‑looking Group Tax team. The organisation is committed to fostering an inclusive environment and will support candidates needing reasonable adjustments during the recruitment process. Please note that roles may be subject to security and background checks, including UK residency requirements where applicable.
