Your responsibilities as a Transfer Pricing Director
You will be responsible for building and maintaining strong client relationships, proactively winning work, and contributing to business development efforts. You’ll shape and deliver solutions to complex technical challenges, working closely with clients, tax authorities, and colleagues across the firm. Day-to-day, you’ll oversee exceptional client service, build valuable commercial networks, and generate new opportunities. As a leader within the team, you will supervise, coach, and mentor junior staff, contribute to training and retention initiatives, and play an active role in shaping both the strategic and operational direction of the team.
At a high level, you will manage the delivery of technically demanding consulting projects, ensuring excellence and a practical, business-focused approach. You will identify opportunities to expand the scope of services by involving other technical disciplines, while also recognising and managing areas of risk for both clients and the firm.
Requirements
We are seeking an experienced Transfer Pricing professional who is both strategically and commercially aware, with excellent time management and strong relationship-building skills. You will be a confident communicator, able to engage effectively in a range of situations both written and verbal, while identifying areas of risk and knowing when to escalate. Client-focused and pragmatic, you will bring creativity to problem-solving, manage client expectations effectively, and build trusted relationships at all levels. A proven ability to coach and develop junior colleagues is also essential. To qualify, you must have solid experience as a Transfer Pricing tax practitioner, a strong ability to interpret existing and new tax legislation, and hold a degree or postgraduate degree. Project management skills, including the ability to plan and prioritise work, meet deadlines, and manage budgets, are also key to success in this role.
