Senior Tax Manager - Private Client Advisory

An exceptional opportunity has arisen for an experienced private client tax professional to step into a pure advisory role within a highly respected and growing practice. This position offers a clear and supported route to Partner, making it ideal for an ambitious Senior Tax Manager seeking their next major career move.

This is not your typical compliance-heavy position. You'll focus solely on delivering high-value tax advisory services to a varied and loyal client base, including high-net-worth individuals and owner-managed businesses. Working closely with a supportive Tax Director, you'll receive hands-on mentorship as you develop towards Director and, ultimately, Partner.
You'll be part of a collaborative and high-performing tax team with a strong track record of developing senior talent, in a firm that values progression, balance, and employee ownership.
What You'll Be Doing:
* Advising private clients on a range of tax planning matters including IHT, CGT, succession planning, and residency
* Managing client relationships and offering strategic input across their personal and business interests
* Leading advisory projects including family wealth planning, restructuring, and HMRC enquiries
* Reviewing complex personal tax returns and managing P11Ds
* Developing and mentoring junior staff, and reviewing their technical work
* Contributing to the strategic direction of the tax function and attending monthly leadership meetings
What We're Looking For:
* CTA qualified (or equivalent) with strong post-qualification experience
* A proven track record managing a portfolio of private clients in practice
* Significant advisory experience, especially across IHT, CGT, and succession planning
* Exposure to corporate tax in an OMB context is beneficial but not essential
* Strong communication skills with a client-first mindset
* A natural leader with the drive to shape a team and progress to Partner
