This is a Tax Advisory role, with a focus on Germany, plus some oversight of Austria and Switzerland for this global automotive company.
The office is in Ulm, Baden-Württemberg, and there is a hybrid working model with good flexibility.
The DACH Tax Manager is responsible for for tax advisory, risk management and managing a co-sourced tax compliance process. There will be opportunities to drive process improvement projects, help with tax reporting, reshape the tax control framework, provide strategic advice to the business, manage tax transactions, handle tax audits & litigation and acting as a true partner for the business. Around 70% of the work is on Germany and 30% on Switzerland & Austria. The role reports to the International Tax Director who is able to give a lot of guidance and support as you get to know the business and the challenges of the position.
This position would suit someone with around 8+ years of German tax compliance & advisory experience, ideally gained in both consulting and in industry. Tax Managers looking to make their first move ‘in-house’ from the Big 4 are also welcome to apply.
