Your new role
The company are looking for an experienced Funding Manager to work as a part of their large and well-rounded tax and treasury team. This role will see you responsible for the management of the funding team, and working closely with the wider finance and treasury departments to ensure that targets are met. You will also be required to communicate with funding partners and external stakeholders, ensuring that relationships are managed effectively and continually.

Your key responsibilities

* Develop monthly plans in compliance with Funding and Treasury policies, considering market rates, profitability forecasts, and funder restrictions.
* Ownership of cash flow forecasting, monitoring cash balances to ensure the fulfilment of daily treasury targets and liquidity requirements.
* Manage day-to-day relationships with funders and internal/external stakeholders, also keeping updated on external developments and potential threats to credit lines.
* Review and approve relevant account reconciliations, and provide commentary on funding costs movements to support monthly group Management Accounts.
* Assist commercial functions in preparing annual forecasts, and conduct ongoing analysis and reporting to support reforecasting processes.
* Support the Head of Department and the wider finance team during annual financial audits.
* Conduct regular meetings with the Funding Team, including setting objectives, reporting, and monitoring progress in line with departmental KPIs and strategy.
* Collaborate with the Treasury team to ensure reporting requirements are met and continuously improve reporting to provide value-added information to all stakeholders.
* Utilise analytical skills to review, identify, document, and when applicable, provide recommendations for process efficiencies and improvements.

What you'll need to succeed
In order to be considered for this role, you will have:

* A recognised professional qualification in Treasury or Accounting, such as ACT, ACCA, ACA, CIMA etc.
* Experience within a reputable organisation within a treasury department, ideally with funding management experience for 2+ years.
* Commercial mindset, with an eye for detail and analysis, and a problem-solving attitude.
* A strong team-player, with the ability to lead and manage a small team and drive improvement.
* A strong academic record and an eagerness to learn new skills and knowledge.
