Our client is a constituent of the FTSE 250 in the real estate sector and is looking for an Assistant Tax Manager to join the in-house tax team based in central London.

As an Assistant Tax Manager, you will report directly to the Head of Tax. You will be supported by a wider team in this collegiate tax function. Some of your responsibilities include:

* Supporting the delivery of tax reporting for the Group including (i) year-end tax consolidation (ii) quarterly reporting (iii) budget projection (iv) forecast projection (v) cash tax actual and projection.
* Identifying, planning and implementing improvement opportunities within the group's tax reporting systems, processes and procedures.

* Timely and accurate submission of UK corporation tax returns within the relevant statutory time limits.
* To prepare/review budgets, forecasts and strategic plans to ensure continuing REIT compliance.

Ideally, you should be ACA, ACCA, or CTA qualified with UK corporate tax and tax accounting experience. Your background can either be from an in-house tax function or a Top 25 firm if you have hands-on tax technical exposure and are proficient in Excel. There is scope to develop your skills in this role with the support of the Head of Tax. REIT and real estate experience will be advantageous but not a strict requirement.

In return, you will receive a salary of £65,000-£75,000 depending on your experience, 15-25% discretionary bonus, and a pension of 15% (no contribution). The tax team follow a hybrid-pattern of 3 days in the office. Part-time applicants will be considered (4 days ideally).
