My client, a leading manufacturing business operating in over 100 countries is looking for additional resource to join their already well-established tax function. This is a hybrid role offering 3 days per week working from their Midlands office.
This is an extremely varied role and plays a pivotal role in formulating and executing tax strategies for the group. You will be working closely with the Head of Tax, wider finance team alongside external advisers to ensure the group is aligned with ever changing adjustments within tax legislation.
Responsibilities:
- Coverage of both direct and indirect tax compliance including preparation
- Assisting with tax reporting and analysis of ETR
- Ensure accurate and timely filing of all UK tax returns and related documentation.
- Monitor changes in tax legislation and assess their impact on the company.
- Develop and implement tax strategies aligned with business objectives.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Identify opportunities for tax efficiencies and cost savings.
Requirements:
- Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CTA)
- Proven experience of UK corporation tax
- Exposure to other taxes preferred
- In depth knowledge of UK tax regulations and accounting principles
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
