Tax Senior Manager/ Associate Director (Alternative Funds Market)

An excellent opportunity has arisen in the UK market to Lead a portfolio of clients across the Asset Management and Alternatives space across all asset classes (private equity and venture capital funds, hedge funds, debt funds and real estate and infrastructure funds). As many will know, irrespective of wider economic and political pressures in the UK, this market has lead significant growth for many tax teams nationally.

This role is ideal for a person who loves this space but for whatever reason is limited on progression in their current firm (whether in-house team limitations or lack of SM/Director slot available in an advisory firm).

You will be be responsible for the delivery of large tax compliance and tax reporting engagements across corporation tax compliance, non-resident landlord returns and partnership tax compliance for large international groups, asset and investment managers, hedge funds and private equity funds.
You will work with a well trained team on reviewing and if necessary support preparation on consolidated tax notes for inclusion within the financial statements (prepared under UK GAAP and IFRS) and be responsible for the delivery of tax audits within the asset management sector.

You will report into a MD and ideally come in at top end Associate Director level (in their world year 1 Director level) and be the key relationship person for their client base.

Whether you have corporation and partnership tax compliance, for clients including asset managers, private equity groups, banking and insurance groups, and/or reporting fund compliance for reporting offshore funds, this is an ideal role to broaden out your knowledge of the Alternative Fund Market and see true progression.

Equally important, this role allows this individual to move on from compliance to now gaining advisory work. This is ideal for a person keen on work on UK/International deal structuring/gaining exposure to carried interest arrangements, structuring Funds or offering partnership tax advice.
