My client are a leading business in the heavy industry seeking a highly skilled Tax Manager. The Tax Manager will be responsible for overseeing the tax compliance process, reporting, tax accounting, and providing advisory support on mergers and acquisitions.
Responsibilities:
• Oversee the preparation and submission of all tax compliance requirements, including corporate tax returns and tax provisions
• Provide guidance and support to the tax team to ensure timely and accurate filing of all tax returns and related reporting obligations
• Develop and implement tax strategies to mitigate risks and identify opportunities for tax savings
• Assist with tax audits, investigations, and dispute resolution activities
• Provide advisory support on mergers and acquisitions, including due diligence, tax structuring, and post-merger integration
• Develop and maintain effective relationships with external tax advisors and authorities
• Ensure compliance with all relevant tax laws and regulations
• Prepare and deliver tax-related training to business stakeholders
Requirements:
• ACCA/ACA/CTA Preferred but not required
• Significant experience in tax within the UK with some exposure to international tax preferable
• Strong technical knowledge of tax legislation and principles
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with other departments and stakeholders
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong leadership and people management skills
Package:
• Salary c. £85,000
• Performance-based bonus up to 35%
• Remote working with occasional travel to London
