Tax Partner - (Tax Reporting) - Kuala Lumpur

A leading Advisor is sourcing for a Tax Partner who specialises in US GAAP and/or IFRS to join them in their KL office as part of their strategic growth of this function through APAC.

You will join a newly formed team in the region and work with the firm largest and most pre-eminent global tier 1 client (across sectors) and be the go to person in working with these client to understand how their core Tax Reporting/Accounting//Provisioning and operations requirements impact how they should be structured in the region/how strategically they should manage tax risk/ESG.

The role requires a person who understand deeply technical tax concepts but your role will be to mitigate risk and enable these conversations about core tax processes to frame more complex advisory decisions whether setting up in the region or local Corporates expanding internationally.

This role is ideally suited to a person who currently sit in-house in a Large Corporate and has gained hands on experience internally in how C-Suite and board make these important strategic decisions through an informed tax lens.

A person who have worked in the region will have a significant advantage and or/ a key player who worked and overseeing this work in an outsourced capacity (from India). If moving from India a full relocation is available.

The individual should have significant people experience/leadership experience/strong tax technical (Deferred tax, US GAAP Audits, Tax Accounting expertise, IFRS etc).
