Tax Senior (advisory exposure) - Bury

Your new firm
A large, well established independent firm of Chartered Accountants based in Bury are looking to expand their tax team with the appointment of a Tax Senior. This firm have been established for over thirty years and this is a newly created opportunity to support the new business wins the tax team have experienced over the twelve months.

Your new role
As a Tax Senior you will join a large tax team which deliver all corporate and personal tax compliance and advisory projects for the accountancy firm. You will be allocated your own portfolio of clients which will vary dependent on your level of experience and expertise. You may be allocated a mixed personal and corporate portfolio or a pure corporate / personal portfolio for which you will be responsible for delivering compliance services and some tax planning and advisory projects.

Your client base will again vary dependent on experience but could include a range of small OMBs, larger SMEs, partnerships, groups, and UK subsidiaries of foreign owned businesses.

Over time you will develop your advisory knowledge gaining exposure to a range of transaction work and with this your portfolio will grow in size and complexity


What you'll need to succeed
The firm are seeking an ambitious account senior or tax senior who is looking to further their career within tax. You will ideally be AAT / ACCA /ATT qualified or be studying towards your CTA qualification.

The firm will consider tax professionals who have worked within a compliance focussed role and are looking to develop their advisory skills or someone who has trained within general practice and is looking to pursue a career within tax. As you will have your own set portfolio of clients the firm are seeking and individual with strong organisational skills and good communication skills as you will be client facing.

This job opportunity offers a salary of up to £36000 dependent on experience plus 23 days holiday + bank holidays, a 35 hour working week, study support, modern and open plan offices and a hybrid working policy.
