EMEA Tax Process Owner (Senior Manager)

This highly successful conglomerate operating in a diverse range of industries has created this brand-new role in the EMEA tax team to focus on process improvement. This is a Senior Manager role, ideally based in London, but could be managed remotely from in the UK or remotely from Continental Europe.

Reporting to the Tax Operations Lead, the role is responsible for delivering best practice for tax and identify process improvements in the tax processes in a rapidly changing business and regulatory environment. This may include managing Transfer Pricing positions, standardising tax accounting/tax provision processes, and liaising between the Tax team and other functions on the stat audit process & CIT compliance process.

Where there is a need for a new process, you will develop the process, partner with the stakeholders to implement, maintain and continuously improve the process.

Effectively it is Tax Controller position, for someone with a transformation-type background of improving processes / systems; working very closely with Finance & Tax - helping to educate Finance about what the Tax department needs from them (and vice versa).

It needs someone who has a tax background but who knows how to speak & work with Finance people. They have never had anyone like this before and there is a lot to be improved.

It requires understanding of financial reporting and GAAP principles, excellent communication skills, and top organisational skills to work within deadlines. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys spotting and solving problems.
