Head of VAT, FTSE 100

Head of VAT Opportunity: Pure are currently partnering with a FTSE 100 telecommunications business, who are looking to appoint a Head of VAT to lead their centralised Indirect Tax function.

Managing a small team and leading on strategy and value add advisory, this is a highly commercial role, inhabiting a significant role within the wider group tax team and with high level exposure to senior stakeholders across business lines.

Specific responsibilities include:

* Leading on VAT advisory work and implementation of Group Tax strategy.
* Lead and support lobbying and management of VAT issues with HMRC
* Play lead role in business partnering on behalf of group tax.
* Enhancing group controls and governance framework
* Take ownership of UK VAT compliance and oversight of small tea
* Take a leading role from an Indirect tax perspective on wider finance transformation projects
* Work in close partnership with finance shared services organisation to drive indirect tax process improvements.
