Eton Bridge Partners is delighted to have been retained by a PLC listed company with a presence in the UK, Germany and the US to appoint their Group Tax Manager on a part time basis.
Reporting to the Group Financial controller this is an integral role, partnering closely with the business and senior management as their in-house tax advisor to provide more strategic and tactical decisions and ensure compliance and reporting obligations are met. This is a unique opportunity for a part time role, with flexible working due to continued growth of the business the tax function now needs to be moved in house.
Group tax accounting & working closely with the local and Group finance teams in respect of; controlling of tax ledgers, tax reconciliations, tax journals
Internal and external tax reporting; current and deferred tax calculations under IFRS
Overall responsibility for ensuring all tax returns and computations are prepared and submitted by the deadlines
Ensuring compliance with UK based international tax obligations, e.g. CFC regime, (including BEPS and double taxation etc) and support on the US
Prepare tax forecasts & budgets
Developing the Group’s tax strategy
Undertake annual transfer pricing review and compliance for the Group.
UK PSA and STBV compliance
Manage corporate entity restructuring projects, including management fee structures and tax shield optimization projects.
Liaison with the controlling, legal and reporting teams to ensure correct treatment of transactions in tax returns and audits, including contract reviews.
Address employment tax-related matters, including the board of directors’ fees of the UK PLC.
Tax compliance associated with Group equity plans.
Developing and monitoring internal controls to manage tax risk and maintaining the UK RACM matrix.
Supporting M&A activities with necessary due diligence and structuring.
Support on wider tax issues such as VAT.
Minimum 4 years (PQE) of experience preferably experience in a reputable tax advisor firm or multi-national organisation (in particular the US)
Tax qualified and proven experience (CTA/ACA or equivalent)
High-level of knowledge and experience of the UK listed environment and US tax regulations
Experience of working effectively in a senior management team environment
Able to communicate effectively at all levels of the organisation and build effective relationships and networks.
Demonstrate strong conceptual skills and be capable of developing lateral and practical solutions.

Compensation: £110,000 plus benefits (this is prior to prorated)
