Global Indirect Tax Senior Manager, Hertfordshire, to £95k

Working for a well known FTSE 100 group, this greenfield role has been created as part of a highly successful tax team build out. You will have global responsibility for indirect taxes (outside US) and is a rare opportunity to have a blank canvass and put your own mark on strategy, processes, risk management and how the business views and regards indirect tax.

Specific responsibilities include:

* Define and implement Group tax strategy, specifically in relation to indirect tax
* Working with the internal finance-tax excellence team to ensure the Group meets their indirect tax compliance requirements
* Proactively minimise commercial risks, taking ownership over the Indirect Tax Risk Register
* A subject matter expert for the business, dealing with any adhoc queries and advising on legislative changes that will have a commercial impact

This is an exciting role that will require someone to be proactive and drive how they want indirect tax to be shaped in the business. This is a pivotal time for the tax team as they are building their tax team and establishing themselves as a valued partner to the business as the business prepares for further growth.
