VAT Compliance Specialist
A great opportunity to work within this well known financial institution in the finance team on VAT compliance. You will be responsible for compliance and maintaining records for this bank, and will have an interest in further developing your compliance experience.
The role
* Run and review reports produced by the technology within the organisation, analyse the data and apply UK VAT rules
* Prepare UK VAT returns and Intrastat
* Review draft VAT returns before final review
* Maintain company records and audit trail, and where possible implement improvements to the VAT return process
* Ensure high quality service
* Monitor relevant legislation and other changes impacting compliance in Indirect Tax
About you
In order to succeed in this challenging role, it is expected that you will have:
* CTA or ACA (or equivalent)
* Experience preparing VAT returns
* Financial services, leasing and commercial banking experience would be a bonus
* Good VAT knowledge
* SAP and Microsoft Office knowledge useful
* Excellent communication skills - oral and written
* Ambition and a desire to succeed
* A good team worker
* Ability to work to deadlines and a strict timetable
12 months Part time and flexible working available. £300 PAYE day rate.
