Rare In-House Tax Manager Job, Edinburgh, Full-time or Part-time, £negotiable + strong benefits & flexibility

Your new company
A UK business, which is part of a FTSE100 multi-national group, is looking to make an addition to its small but established and experienced Tax Team. Seeing an increase in workload as a result of consistent business growth, the company is looking for an experienced tax professional to join on either a full-time or part-time basis. Indeed, they offer excellent flexible and agile working, with start times between 8am and 10am and finish times between 4pm and 6pm. You also have the ability to accrue hours allowing for a half day on Friday. Other benefits include 10% non-contributory pension, a discretionary bonus scheme, and health and life insurance. This opportunity offers a good work-life balance whilst remaining challenged in a modern, relaxed and friendly office of approximately 80 staff.

Your new role
You will be responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely delivery of corporate tax compliance; managing the reviewing and submission of Group tax returns and advising on payments. You will also review corporation and deferred tax accounts and disclosures for inclusion in financial statements, and prepare the consolidated group corporate tax position. Further to this, you will be involved in advisory work, offering the tax perspective internally to Finance Managers as well as in relation to larger project work, such as restructuring, disposals and thin capitalisation.

What you'll need to succeed
As the successful applicant, you will be an experienced tax professional, with a proven track record delivering compliance and supporting or leading advisory work. You will ideally be ACCA/ICAS/ICAEW and/or CTA qualified, however, those with extensive knowledge without qualification(s), will also be considered. You will demonstrate the ability to work to your own initiative and take personal responsibility for the delivery of work whilst working in a supportive and team environment. You will have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and be able to articulate complex tax matters.

What you'll get in return
You will receive a competitive salary, likely between £45,000 and £55,000, however this will be specific to you and your skill set. As outlined, you will also receive a 10% non-contributory pension and annual bonus, as well as health and life assurance. You will also work on either a full-time or part-time basis, dependent on your wish, with a good level of flexibility.
