Our client has a fantastic opportunity for a 1-3 year PQE US Tax Associate to take up an opportunity of a lifetime and relocate to London to join an internationally recognised Law Firm. You will join the firm’s very specialised US Private Client and International Tax team. You will work alongside high calibre lawyers of the firm and due to the size of the team you will have very close contact to the teams Partners. This is a top-ranking wealth planning team that has a number of market-leading partners who advise domestic and internationally based clients and their family offices in relation to trusts, tax, estate and succession issues.
As an Associate you will advise high net worth individuals, their closely held businesses and their families on US and international tax, trust and estate planning. You will advise on all aspects of wealth structuring, using domestic and international trusts and foundations, private trust companies in the US as well as offshore jurisdictions and co-ordinate the acquisition of appropriate investments. You will focus on US estate planning, US taxation of trusts with US beneficiaries, US citizenship and green card matters including renunciation and relinquishment, cross-border charitable giving and certain US tax compliance including FATCA and the IRS Voluntary Disclosure programs.
You must have a LLM in Taxation from a high ranking US College. You must already be admitted to practice law in the USA. You must be a 1-3 year US associate or equivalent. Must be willing to commit at least 3 years to living in London with subsequent future opportunities to relocate to many of the firms global locations.
