Tax compliance/ transformation roles, all levels – Big 4 international tax compliance and transformation team

Wilkinson Partners are currently working closely alongside a Big 4 firm who have ambitious and exciting growth plans for their tax compliance and transformation practice. The practice is a national team that works with a broad range of clients in all sectors, from leading FTSE firms or inbounds to mid-market companies. The services they provide include compliance management services, tax audits and tax accounting, tax transformation and tax technology. One of our client’s priority areas is the tax technical service line, which is responsible for carrying out tax compliance and reporting engagements on behalf of their clients.

The role involves:

• Developing and maintaining strong client relationships and building a network and range of experience to help address client needs
• Providing well-planned solutions to various problems faced by clients
• Providing tax technical input on tax audits on a variety of listed and non-listed multinational groups
• Supporting clients with their group/statutory tax accounting needs, including delivery and project management on global outsource
contracts under US GAAP and IFRS
• Drafting advice on GAAP conversion projects
• Leading tax accounting project work, including, inter alia, special purpose accounts, tax risk provision reviews under IFRS/US GAAP,
providing tax accounting training and advising clients on process improvements and changes to accounting standards;
• Drafting tax accounting project work, participating in tax accounting training and advising on process improvements and changes to
accounting standards
• Delivery and supporting the delivery of corporate tax compliance engagements and managing compliance outsourcing contracts
• Drafting advice on the tax and tax accounting implications of new legislation
• Responding to client requests for ad hoc technical advice
• Helping to drive efficiency through the compliance process, improving controls, and leveraging technology
• Participating in sales activities to generate additional work opportunities for both existing and potential clients
• Assisting or leading the mentorship and development of junior members of staff

The successful candidate will:

• Be ACA or CTA qualified (preferred but not essential)
• Have experience of tax reporting requirements and a strong understanding of the UK tax regime
• Have US GAAP and IFRS tax reporting knowledge
• Have an interest in processes and technology
• Have project managements skills and experience (preferably on global compliance outsourcing engagements or similar projects)
