Work within Tax across a variety of UK and International Clients out of the Guildford office, £40k
Your new company
You will be working for a well established Practice who have two offices, one located in London and the other in Guildford. The current vacancy is within their Guildford office. This office has circa 25 staff including 5 partners and is located conveniently close to the train station in Guildford.
Your new role
You will be a Tax senior dealing with both corporate and personal tax.
You role will include preparation of both corporate and personal tax. You will then be monitoring tax return progress to ensure timely completion and submission to HMRC. You will be advising a range of clients on tax liabilities and ensuring accurate and prompt completion of their tax returns.
You will be dealing with technical queries when required within Income Tax Uses and Cap, claiming EIS & SEIS reliefs. You will be advising on the tax effect of the withdrawal of tax relief for BTL. You will be dealing with Basic Capital Gains Tax planning, use of annual exemption including principal private residence exemption, use of holdover relief, optimum use of losses. You will be preparing small self employed accounts and rental income and expenditure accounts as well as supporting the accounts preparation team with basic corporation tax queries.
What you'll need to succeed
You will need a minimum of 2 years experience in a mixed tax role within a professional practice, along with strong communication skills as well as strong written skills. A good knowledge of CGT computations for shares, land & property, spouse and connected party transfers would be advantageous. Proven tax compliance experience is essential. You will need to be ATT part qualified or QBE.
