International Tax Director

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a global multinational based in the Midlands. Reporting to the Head of Tax, the post holder will support (and lead where appropriate) on all international tax planning matters including M&A. The role involves working closely with all functional areas including treasury, legal and accounting, whilst managing a small team of direct reports.

The scope of the role is diverse and business facing. This will include leading on big ticket projects, providing tax support & insight on commercial developments, monitoring and advising on the impact of legislative changes, actively managing the international tax compliance affairs of the group and working closely with other internal tax teams. This includes the transfer pricing team and colleagues in the US to ensure tax positions are communicated and understood in line with overseas filings.

This position will suit a bright and ambitious tax professional with strong commercial prowess, combined with excellent people & project management skills. The size and scope of the business (and the global tax team) will ensure an excellent long-term career trajectory for the right person. You will likely have a tax and or accounting qualification with proven knowledge of working on both UK and cross-border tax matters.
