A Leading Independent Firm in Chatteris are growing their Business Services Team due to organic growth of the practice. As such, our client is looking for an Accounts Assistant to join their impressive and dynamic team.
Our Client
The operations of the firm are currently spread across a couple of office sites in Cambridgeshire, making my client one of region’s leading firms. As the firm continues to grow, opportunities for internal progression are readily available for the successful candidate.
Responsibilities for an Accounts Assistant:
● Bookkeeping on various software/cloud packages
● Timely completion of VAT returns for various VAT schemes
● Reconcile control accounts (bank, purchase ledger, sales ledger, PAYE, wages, VAT etc.)
● Assisting on management accounts preparation and liaising with auditors internally for audit file preparation
● Preparation of accounts for sole traders and limited companies
● Establish a rapport with clients, directors, managers and staff
● Visit clients as and when required (most work is office based)
Technical skills:
● Advanced IT skills (including MS Word, Excel, Quick Books, Sage and Xero)
● Excellent written and spoken English
● Proficient use of email, calendar and the internet
