Assistant Accountant - VAT, Bradford

Your new company
I am working in partnership with an industry leading business based in Bradford to recruit an Assistant Accountant to work in their VAT team.

Your new role
You will be responsible for the timely submission of VAT, Intrastat and EC Sales list returns and liaising with HMRC, drafting responses and preparing supporting documentation where required. You will also undertake reconciliations and assist and advise the General Ledger and Accounts Payable teams on VAT related issues.

What you'll need to succeed
You will have previous experience in an accountancy role and although experience of working in a VAT specific role would be advantageous, candidates with a sound understanding of VAT and desire to build on this will be considered. This role would suit a part qualified ACA/ACCA/ATT/CTA accountant or equivalent looking for their first move away from practice, or an individual who is qualified by the experience of working in a similar role previously.
