Tax and Treasury Manager job in London paying £55,000 for a tax accountant or tax & treasury analyst.

This FTSE company is looking for a tax accountant or tax/treasury analyst to join the team and be trained in treasury responsibilities. The role with support the treasurer and wider finance function including completing tax accounting, and day to day treasury operations including dealing. This is a great opportunity for a tax accountant who would like to gain exposure to treasury.

Your new role
As the Group Tax and Treasury Analyst your role will be twofold. From a tax perspective you will take responsibility for Tax Compliance adopting a hands on approach to complete the tax computations. Additionally you will be required to make Effective Tax Rate (ETR) calculations as well as forecasting / deferred tax calculations. You will liaise and work with the external advisors in reviewing the tax computations and thereafter implementing any tax planning outcomes. In addition you will:

* Assist the Group Planning and Reporting Manger with tax related accounting issues as they arise;
* Ensure the timely submission of tax computations and tax calculations for half year and year end statutory accounts;
* Support the Group Treasurer in tax planning activities.
The treasury part of your role will have you responsible for day to day treasury operations including cash management, Fx dealing, interest rate swaps, management of the monthly netting process, and support the treasurer on other ad hoc projects.

What you'll need to succeed
You will need to have experience exposure to the above tax areas and be comfortable taking ownership for these areas of tax for the business. Whilst experience of treasury would be ideal the business is happy to train people up in these areas but prior knowledge would be beneficial. You will ideally be working towards an accounting or treasury qualification, have strong communication skills and be eager to learn.
