Front Office Support Tax Manager for Global Investment Bank, London, to £75k

Role Summary:

This is a tax advisory role, focused on the provision of professional advice to front office teams on new products and transactions, as well as the monitoring and management of tax risk. There is also potential to be involved with other tax projects such as M&A transactions.

Job Responsibilities:

* provision of tax advice on transactions and products
* provision of tax input to internal approvals processes for new businesses
* developing and monitoring internal controls to manage tax risk
* co-ordination with external advisers and tax colleagues in the US and Asia regarding cross-border transactions
* monitoring changes in tax law and analysing impact on businesses
* liaison with the compliance and reporting team to ensure correct treatment of transactions in tax returns and audits
* assistance with tax implications of projects

Skills and knowledge required:

* Professional qualification (Accountant/Lawyer/CTA) or equivalent
* Financial services tax experience (e.g. in another bank, accountancy or law firm)
* Good tax technical knowledge
* Strong written and oral communication skills
* Ability to build good working relationships with business, Finance and Legal
* Ability to deliver complex tax advice in a clear and precise commercial manner
