This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a new and expanding team within a leading Global Investment Bank. Primarily you will be responsible for Tax Reporting duties within a wider team but there will be a number of ad hoc projects you will also have involvement in to assist with the smooth build-out of the team.
Key responsibilities:
* Income tax accounting process, including the preparation of current and deferred tax reconciliations
* Tax reporting within the statutory accounts for the EMEA entities
* Income tax returns of the EMEA entities, including the direct Tax Compliance process, which incorporates tax return process management, technical review of tax calculations and analysis and delivery for Income tax and withholding
* Tax decision support function for the EMEA region
* Supporting the implementation of the strategic vision for the EMEA Direct Tax Reporting team
* Support process improvement and change management initiatives for EMEA tax reporting, with an ongoing focus on tax technology initiatives
* Support revenue authority enquiries and audits
* Identify and communicate issues emanating from regional Tax Reporting function
* Support Business Units on regional Tax Reporting issues
* Respond to ad-hoc requests from stakeholders (internal and external)
Skills & Experience:
* University degree, coupled with a formal accounting qualification
* Significant experience in a similar role, currently operating at a Manager/Senior Manager level within a Tax Reporting function in commerce or an accountancy firm
* Corporate Tax experience for large companies & consolidated groups, which includes tax accounting and compliance
* An ability to understand complex structures and transactions
* Ambition with a high level of energy and commitment
