Tax Analyst, London, to £25k + bonus

This globally recognised provider of financial news and information is looking for a junior Tax Analyst. This is a rare chance to join a household name at an entry level position, and a great opportunity to gain industrial experience of various direct, indirect and international taxes.

Your new role
Reporting to the International Tax Manager, you will be joining an experienced and creative tax team of 5 people. You will be responsible for maintaining large amounts of financial data and running reports to meet various compliance obligations including: Accounts payable and accounts receivable reports (using Oracle and other systems); Monthly global VAT compliance and balance sheet reconciliations; and US sales taxes registrations. You will also provide analysis to assist the International Tax Manager in meeting filing deadlines for direct taxes, US sales tax and Transfer Pricing.

What you'll need to succeed
While no previous tax experience is necessary, you will need a good understanding of financial accounting and the ideal applicant will be studying towards their ATT qualification (or keen to start studying). You must be an analytical person and a keen problem solver, with advanced excel skills (graphs, lookups, pivot tables etc). You must be able to work independently and manage your own workload, but you will also need good interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with internal and external teams.
