The firm are looking for someone to join the Milton Keynes tax department, which is one of the largest in the firm. This position will provide you with exposure to interesting and varied work, and the chance to work with clients of various sizes across a range of industries.

As a tax senior your role will be extremely varied, and it will include a mix of both advisory and compliance work, allowing you to enhance your technical knowledge and skills. You will work alongside experienced tax professionals who possess a range of specialist technical skillsets and who will provide you with the opportunities and responsibilities to develop and to broaden your wider business knowledge.


Job Purpose

There will be two main elements to the role:
• In terms of corporate tax compliance, the role will be both to assist the senior management team with the larger compliance cases; and to have the main day to day contact with the smaller cases.
• To assist the management team with delivery of advisory assignments – requiring (and providing an opportunity to develop) a breadth of skills ranging from R&D, transfer pricing, capital allowances, international corporate tax, due diligence and M&A.

The role is split 50-50 between these two elements, both being equally important.

Person Specification

• Demonstrate broad and strong technical knowledge and experience;
• Extensive experience of working as part of a team;
• Ideally proficient in Alphatax.
• Experience of managing the firm’s financial exposure, billing, and adjusting the approach to work depending on the available budget would be desired but not essential.
• Level of education / qualification/ Professional qualifications – ACA and CTA or equivalent (preferably corporate route)
